Yi-Ching Chen, MD

Postdoctoral Scholar

Yi-Ching Chen received her M.D. from Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan and has research experience spanning molecular cell biology, neuroscience, and cancer immunology. Her previous work investigated neuron-glioma networks, glioblastoma immunotherapy, and protein trafficking in neurodegenerative disease at UC Berkeley and Harvard Medical School.

In the Hervey-Jumper Lab, Yi-Ching is interested in integrating genetic and cell biology approaches, multi-omics analyses, and multimodal neurophysiological techniques to understand how gliomas interact with and remodel human neural circuits. Her research focuses on how the genetic and spatial heterogeneity of gliomas shapes the neural microenvironment and influences cortical function, cognition, and tumor progression, with the goal of identifying new therapeutic strategies for patients with brain tumors.

Outside of research, Yi-Ching enjoys running, painting, and exploring new cafés.
